SPASH, Pacelli renew rivalry after three decades

None of the current players were born the last time this game was played.

For the first time in nearly three decades, the Stevens Point Area Senior High and Pacelli boys hockey programs will be facing off with not only bragging rights, but their seasons on the line.

“Any time you play an inter-city school it ramps up the intensity,” SPASH coach Dan Francis said. “A lot of these kids (for both teams) have played together growing up in youth hockey, and now that they’re playing against one another, I’m sure they want to give their best effort.”
