Excuse Tom Nelson for having an ear-to-ear grin, but he can't help it.

His sons, Josh and Casey, not only experienced success while playing for their high school team in Wisconsin Rapids, but are now earning accolades while playing for D1 Minnesota State and the Johnstown Tomahawks of the NAHL, respectively.

Josh was named the Red Baron / WCHA Defensive Player of the Week for the period of December 3-9. 

Casey earned Combat Hockey NAHL Defenseman of the Month for November with his play.

Tom Nelson said: "(I'm) having lots of fun just watching and smiling right now. Thankful that they have had some opportunities to go on."

Most of us would be smiling, too.
