For the Rhinelander and Chequamegon/Phillips boys' high school hockey teams, Thursday night was a case of second verse, same as the first.
Pierce Pluemer had a hat trick as Chequamegon/Phillips routed Rhinelander 7-1 at the Rhinelander Ice Arena. It was the second time in eight days the Screaming Eagles and Loggers (SEaLs) beat the Hodags in Rhinelander. Pluemer also recorded a hat trick in the SEaLs' 9-1 victory over the Hodags Nov. 29.
