Kelly Knetter scores lone goal in the game

The University School co-op girls’ hockey team lost to the Central Wisconsin Storm 1-0 Saturday at USM.

“I thought we played well,” said Jason Woods, USM’s head coach.  “It was a first step in the right direction.  They are the defending state-champion, and we stayed with them for the whole game.  I am not disappointed with our performance.  Our goalie did a great job all night.”

USM is now 0-1.  The Wildcats play in a tournament hosted by the Central Wisconsin Storm in Mosinee next weekend.  The first game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 23rd.
