U14 Boys

The U14 Team Wisconsin boys have yet to be scored on through two games, a 9-0 win over the Madison Capitols on Friday, and a 5-0 victory over the Jr. Gamblers Saturday morning.

In Friday's game Max McConnell started and played the first two periods in net, and Henry Cutting took the third to compete the shutout. In the Saturday morning game they reversed the roles.

Saturday's goal scorers were Jackson Charlesworth, Kevin Conley, Tony Stilwell, Sam McCormick, and Ryan Mantz.

The final game on Sunday morning will be against the Jr. Admirals, who are also 2-0, with a 3-1 win over the Jr. Gamblers and a 3-2 overtime win versus the Capitols.

U16 Girls

TW's U16 Girls have already punched their tickets to the Central District Tournament in St. Louis. Their only opponents were the U16 Madison Capitols, in a best 2 out of 3 competition.

TW took Game 1 on Friday night with a 2-1 overtime win. Kristen Pechacek played goal on Friday night. Wendy Roberts scored both goals for TW, who outshot the Caps 45-6.

Mackenzie Torpy stood in front of the net on Saturday in a game where the shots were a lot closer, yet the score was not. Paige Johnson scored first for TW with a shot from the left faceoff circle that beat the goalie on the short side. Roberts scored the next goal on a rebound off the back boards. Samantha O'Brien made it 3-0 with with a high shot from the right circle.

The Captials scored late to make it 3-2, before Kylie Gazzolo sealed the 4-2 win with an empty net goal.

U16 Boys

The TW U16 Boys played their first game on Saturday morning against the Jr. Admirals and came away with 5-1 win with the Eastside Lakers' Nate Teuscher in net.

Keegan Ford got things started for TW when he came into the zone on the left side, slipped around a defenseman and then found Brett Gruber uncovered in the slot. Gruber found the back of the net. Gruber made it 2-0 a few minutes later when he roofed a backhand shot from the left circle over the Admirals' goalie's shoulder.

TW added a third goal later in the second period on a scramble in front of the net that eventually got poked in.

In the third period TW got a 5 on 3 power play opportunity and controlled the zone with Ford and Luke Davison manning the points. Ford eventually scored a slapshot from the point through heavy traffic. The final TW goal was also a power play point shot, but this time from Matt Berkovitz.

Tomorrow TW will play the Capitols, who beat the Jr. Admirals 4-2 on Friday afternoon, with the winner advancing to St. Louis. 

U19 girls

The TW U19 Girls beat the Jr. Admirals 7-4 on Friday night, and had Saturday off. Many of the girls showed up to support the U16 girls and then watch tomorrow's foe, the Madison Capitols beat the Admirals 10-3.

TW and the Captiols play at 2:15 on Sunday, with the winner advancing to the Central Districts.

U18 Boys

The TW U18 Boys team beat the Capitols 4-0 on Friday night with Notre Dame's Chris Nell picking up the shutout in a solid outing.

TW got one goal each from the forward line of Jesse Tredinnick, Kyle Lee, and Jason Ford. The other goal came Tim Davison found Joe Llaurado uncovered in the slot.

The boys had Saturday off, while the Capitols played the Jr. Admirals, and fell 4-3 in overtime. TW will face the Admirals at 10:00 on Sunday with a trip to St. Louis waiting for the winner.
